Cricket South Africa have publicly stated their undying affection for Graeme Smith and issued a firm vote of confidence in the captain’s ability to lead the team.

The statement was issued by CSA CEO Gerlad Majola following the Proteas disappointing tour of Australia.

If cricket is anything like football, having just received a vote of confidence from the board, Smith has just had the kiss of doom planted on his cheek.
