Domestic crowd trouble
The State Championship final (aka the centre piece of the New Zealand domestic cricket calendar) between Wellington and Central Districts saw crowd trouble yesterday at the basin reserve.

BCCI Baton Cops Crush Infants
Apparantly this is the real meaning of the acronym, BCCI. Not the Board of Control for Cricket India, but the cops who wielded their batons and injured a nine year old boy and his mum in the process.

3-0 down in a seven match series is not exactly the best start one could hope for. I haven’t checked the odds at the bookies on England winning the series but they must be getting good.
