What’s good for the goose ain’t good for the Punter

Ricky Ponting stood his ground today, when Mahela Jayawardene claimed a catch at point, whilst the Australians were still in a relatively precarious position in the second VB final.
It would seem as though Ponting has decided that the “good sport pledge” he tried to lure Michael Vaughan into prior to the Ashes, has long [...]

2nd VB Final - Sri Lanka vs Australia

Sri Lanka, and Chaminda Vaas in particular, look as though they want to win this VB series pretty badly. 3 quick wickets, but Punter and Roy (why is Symonds nickname Roy, anyone know??) are rebuilding pretty well and the run rate is very healthy. This will be an interesting game.

The Definitive List of Cricket Acronyms

Acronyms are a rampant virus these days. Everywhere you look they are sneaking their abbreviated butts into our lexicon. As recently as this morning I was rolling on the floor laughing my ass off when I worked out what ROFLMAO meant.

Yes I know. In my complete boredom and lack of interest in anything of any substance whatsoever, I have resorted to lame puns and badly photoshopped images in the hope of filling the vacant void that is my blog these days.
I beg your forgiveness. I am giving up smoking and it’s clearly affecting my [...]

Zimbabwe perspectives

This is a well written and detailed look at the unfolding collapse of Zimbabwe Cricket.

Bored with abundance

There has been a game of cricket on my TV screen almost every night for the last few weeks, with the insanely overplayed VB series taking centre stage.
I am now (after God knows how many) round robin matches between 3 teams, completely FED UP with VB CRICKET.
I want it to STOP…..NOW!
