Good title - although in Paul’s defence he probably didn’t mean it in the disrespectful kind of way Glenn did, he probably meant something on the lines of ‘we aim for a whitewash and believe we’re good enough to achieve one’ which is a view not everyone will necessarily subscribe to, not the least my self…England out class us man to man, but we haven’t been whitewashed on home soil for a long while, so it’s not going to as straight forward as Paul might be thinking.

I’m hoping as a Pakistan fan, the 3-0 comment has the same affect on our players as the 5-0 comment had on the English players. :)

I actually hope that Collingwood got a bit of a bollocking for coming out with it. It’s a pretty ridiculous statement, this will be a chalenging series. I heard Vaughan on the radio this morning, he was much more reserved.

Hope Inzamann doesn’t take it upon himself to take the old pin the article on the dressing room door approach to retaliation and team motivation!

I fear the series may be littered with the type of negative tactics and slow over rate witnessed in the 2000 series to prevent a result for either side.

You could be right Dave, although a bit of me wants to see another ‘day-night’ test match, just for the sheer drama of it all.

I seriously think we’ve moved on from the days of creating dead slow pitches , which wouldn’t be favourable for a result - last two seasons, against Sri Lanka and India we actually tried producing greenish wickets, a tactic which backfired spectacularly since our own batsmen very found more inept in such conditions then the opposition’s.

I’m confident about Lahore and Faislabad at least, of producing ’sporting wickets, however, Multan could be another question entirely…

1-0 to us already … not quite the 3-0 Collingwood was hoping for :p
